A traffic stop in Guin on Feb. 1 resulted in the confiscation of 56 grams of marijuana, 27.2 grams of crack cocaine, a bag of synthetic marijuana known as “wizard weed,” 3 1/2 ecstasy pills and $493 in cash. Guin Police Department Patrolman Aaron Dillard (pictured here with the illicit drugs) initially pulled over Patrick Alexander McCoy, Fayette, on a traffic violation in front of Jimbo’s Bar-B-Q. Dillard was given consent to search the vehicle and found the drugs, said Guin Police Chief Doug Webb. McCoy was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, attempt to distribute a controlled substance and possession of a chemical compound. McCoy remains in the Marion County Jail in Hamilton on a $27,000 bond.
